Kayun restaurant opened its business in 2011, founded by Made Sudiana and his wife. A neighborhood natural organic restaurant, it is named after a Balinese word “Kayun” which means, “Heart”.
Since the very beginning, the owner tried to do things the way they would like them done at a dinner party at home, with generosity and attention to detail. They are both also convinced that the best-tasting food is organically and locally grown and harvested in ways that are ecologically sound by people who are taking care of the land for future generations. And that the quest for such ingredients has always determined the restaurant’s cuisine that our menu is designed to be appropriate to the season and composed to feature the finest sustainably-sourced, organic, and seasonal ingredients including variety of vegetables, seafood, and poultries.
A place for Healthy Food
at Kayun organic restaurant
The Restaurant, located in desa Mas Ubud, has an open air interior with some outdoor settings surrounded by trees and traditional Balinese garden. It is open Monday through Sunday from 10 am to 11 pm.
The term “organic” refers to the way agricultural products are grown and processed. Specific requirements must be met and maintained in order for products to be labeled as “organic”.
Kayun Restaurant also has an organic garden located behind the restaurant, we grow organic ingredients that we use for cooking in our restaurant. The guests can visit our organic herb garden and learn interesting things about organic cultivation.
